Not much. Always something. Mostly good.

Jelly Legs Run All Directions

Another quick one. Today's been a pretty long day, but productive. Thank goodness for the giants I can find on the internet, upon whose shoulders I can stand.

Heading to KY tomorrow to meet on site with a client. That'll be fun. I finally have something to show them.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed; my cold seems to be a couple of days from finished. Good thing, considering I'm fencing in a tournament this Saturday.

Lately All the Flowers Smell Like Taffy

Just a short one. I'm up later than I should be, watching some comedy on YouTube. Steven Wright (who's still alive) and Mitch Hedberg (who isn't).

Not exactly looking forward to the cough-fest tonight. "And now, live, on stage, in your very own bedroom, it's Hack Mackerson!"

Jokes from both of the above:

"A friend of mine is on the ouija board of directors." --Steven Wright.

"I like escalators because they can't break down. They can only temporarily become stairs." Mitch Hedberg

Day 1 - An Asspicious Beginning

Well, I put in almost five hours on one project, and will put in some time on the other before going to bed. Not exactly the way I wanted to start the week, but the funny thing about the past is it's done and that's that.

(Actually, people change the past all the time, but that's for another post.)

I made it to fencing at the Cincinnati Fencing Club, in preparation for a tournament this weekend. I fenced pretty well, though feel I got lucky several times.

My cold kept me awake, and then kept me asleep, and at one point I'm pretty sure the snot was suffocating me, as if I'd inhaled mashed worms. Now I'm taking some cold medicine that apparently treats all my symptoms, and will guarantee me hundreds of offspring and a guest appearance on Heroes.

Andy Erickson posted a response to yesterday's entry. You might read his love list to his wife. I think doing things like this is great, whether public or private depending on what your partner prefers.

Firefly quote of the day:

Zo: You sanguine about the kinda reception we're apt to receive on an Alliance ship, Captain?
Mal: Absolutely. What's "sanguine" mean?
Zo: Sanguine. Hopeful. Plus, point of interest, it also means "bloody".
Mal: Well, that pretty much covers all the options, don't it?
